Ingredients

  • 1 ribeye or sirloin steak about 8 oz
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh herbs like rosemary or thyme for garnish

Instructions

  • Remove the steak from the refrigerator and let it sit at room temperature for 30 minutes.
  • Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  • Pat the steak dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.
  • Rub the steak with olive oil, covering all surfaces.
  • Season the steak generously with garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
  • Place the steak in the air fryer basket, ensuring it's not overcrowded.
  • Cook for 10-12 minutes for medium-rare, flipping halfway through.
  • Use a meat thermometer to check for an internal temperature of 130°F (54°C) for medium-rare.
  • Once cooked, remove the steak from the air fryer and let it rest for 5 minutes.
  • Slice against the grain, garnish with fresh herbs, and serve.
