Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas mashed
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 large egg beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  • In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth.
  • Add the melted butter to the mashed bananas and mix well.
  • Stir in the baking soda and salt.
  • Add the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract, mixing until combined.
  • Gradually fold in the all-purpose flour until just incorporated.
  • Gently mix in the chopped nuts of your choice.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan, smoothing the top.
  • Bake for about 60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  • Allow to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
