In a large bowl, mix warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until frothy.
Add flour and salt to the yeast mixture. Stir until a dough forms.
Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth.
Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it, and let it rise for 1 hour in a warm place.
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
Punch down the dough and shape it into a loaf.
Place the loaf into a greased pan or on a baking sheet.
Let it rise again for about 30 minutes.
Score the top of the loaf with a sharp knife.
Bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown and hollow-sounding when tapped.
