Ingredients

  • 500 g all-purpose flour
  • 75 g sugar
  • 10 g salt
  • 10 g instant yeast
  • 6 large eggs
  • 250 g unsalted butter softened
  • 60 ml milk
  • 1 egg for egg wash

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, salt, and yeast.
  • Add eggs and milk to the dry ingredients.
  • Mix until a dough forms.
  • Knead the dough for about 10 minutes until smooth.
  • Gradually incorporate softened butter into the dough.
  • Knead until fully incorporated and the dough is elastic.
  • Place dough in a greased bowl and cover with plastic wrap.
  • Let it rest in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  • Punch down the dough and shape it into a loaf or rolls.
  • Place shaped dough in a greased pan and let it rise for another hour.
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Brush the top with beaten egg and bake for 30-40 minutes until golden brown.
