Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large bowl, mix the melted butter with brown sugar and granulated sugar until smooth.
  • Add the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
  • In another bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  • Using a cookie scoop, drop dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Bake for 12-15 minutes, until the edges are set but the centers are still soft.
  • Remove from the oven and let cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
