Ingredients

  • 2 cups water
  • 2 black tea bags
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 4-5 green cardamom pods crushed
  • 4-5 whole cloves
  • 1- inch piece of fresh ginger sliced
  • 2 tablespoons honey or sugar
  • 1 cup milk
  • Ground cinnamon for garnish

Instructions

  • In a saucepan, bring 2 cups of water to a boil.
  • Add the black tea bags, cinnamon stick, crushed cardamom pods, cloves, and ginger slices.
  • Reduce the heat and let it simmer for 5-7 minutes.
  • Remove from heat and strain the tea mixture into another pot.
  • Add honey or sugar to sweeten and stir well.
  • In a separate saucepan, heat 1 cup of milk until warm but not boiling.
  • Froth the milk using a frother or whisk until creamy.
  • Pour the spiced tea mixture into cups, filling them halfway.
  • Top with frothed milk, filling the cups to the brim.
  • Sprinkle ground cinnamon on top for garnish.
