Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper optional
  • 1/2 cup cold butter cubed
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  • In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, garlic powder, and cayenne pepper.
  • Cut in the cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  • Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese.
  • Pour in the milk and mix until just combined.
  • Fold in chopped parsley for added flavor.
  • Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
