Heat vegetable oil in a large pot over medium heat.
Add diced onions, bell peppers, and celery; sauté until soft.
Stir in the garlic and cook for an additional minute.
Add the sliced sausage and chicken; brown for about 5-7 minutes.
Sprinkle Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper; mix well.
Pour in the chicken broth; bring to a boil.
Reduce heat and let simmer for 30 minutes.
Add okra and continue to simmer for another 15 minutes.
Adjust seasoning to taste.
Serve over cooked white rice.
