Ingredients

  • 8 corn tortillas
  • 1 cup salsa red or green
  • 1 cup shredded cheese cheddar or queso fresco
  • 1/2 cup diced onion
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 avocado sliced
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish

Instructions

  • Cut the tortillas into triangles.
  • Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Fry the tortilla triangles until golden and crispy.
  • Remove and drain on paper towels.
  • In the same skillet, add the salsa and simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  • Add the crispy tortillas to the skillet and stir to coat.
  • Sprinkle the shredded cheese over the top.
  • Cover the skillet and cook until the cheese melts.
  • Serve hot, topped with diced onion and avocado.
  • Garnish with sour cream and cilantro before serving.
