In a separate bowl, whisk together chocolate pudding mix and milk until thickened.
Spread the chocolate pudding over the cream cheese layer.
Top with remaining whipped topping and sprinkle chocolate chips on top.
Chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours before serving.
