Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter cold and cubed
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 egg for egg wash

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a bowl, combine flour, granulated sugar, brown sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  • Add cold butter and mix until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  • Stir in milk and vanilla extract until a dough forms.
  • Roll out the dough on a floured surface into a rectangle.
  • Fold the dough into thirds, similar to a letter, and roll it out again.
  • Cut the dough into triangles to form croissants.
  • Place chocolate chips at the base of each triangle and roll them up.
  • Brush the tops with egg wash for a golden finish.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
