Ingredients

  • 12 lasagna noodles uncooked
  • 1 pound ground beef or turkey
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 15 ounces ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil for garnish

Instructions

  • Brown the ground meat in a skillet over medium heat, seasoning with salt and pepper.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine ricotta cheese, egg, Italian seasoning, and a pinch of salt.
  • Spray the crockpot with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
  • Spread a layer of marinara sauce on the bottom of the crockpot.
  • Place a layer of uncooked lasagna noodles over the sauce.
  • Spread half of the ricotta mixture over the noodles.
  • Add a layer of ground meat followed by a layer of marinara sauce.
  • Sprinkle a layer of mozzarella cheese.
  • Repeat layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with marinara and mozzarella on top.
  • Cover and cook on low for 4 to 6 hours, or until noodles are tender and cheese is bubbly.
