Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder

  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter cold and cubed
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon sugar optional

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  • In a large bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  • Add the cold, cubed butter into the dry ingredients.
  • Use a pastry cutter or fork to mix until crumbly.
  • Pour in the milk and mix until just combined.
  • Using a spoon or scoop, drop mounds of dough onto a baking sheet.
  • Space them about 2 inches apart.
  • Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
