Ingredients

  • 1 large egg
  • 1 slice of cheese cheddar or your choice
  • 1 slice of cooked bacon or ham
  • 1 sandwich bun or English muffin
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Butter or oil for frying
  • Fresh herbs optional

Instructions

  • Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat.
  • Add butter or oil to the skillet.
  • Crack the egg into the skillet and season with salt and pepper.
  • Cook the egg to your desired doneness.
  • While the egg cooks, toast the sandwich bun or English muffin.
  • In the last minute of cooking, place the cheese on top of the egg to melt.
  • Add the cooked bacon or ham to the bun.
  • Carefully place the cooked egg with melted cheese on top of the meat.
  • Close the sandwich with the other half of the bun.
