Ingredients

  • 1 loaf of brioche or challah bread cubed
  • 6 large eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Optional toppings: fresh berries maple syrup, powdered sugar

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt.
  • Add the cubed bread to the egg mixture, stirring gently to combine.
  • Let the mixture sit for about 10 minutes to allow the bread to soak.
  • Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly.
  • Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
  • Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until golden brown.
