Ingredients

  • 4 medium-sized potatoes
  • 1 cup of vegetable oil

Instructions

  • Peel the potatoes and cut them into even-sized wedges or slices.
  • Rinse the cut potatoes in cold water to remove excess starch.
  • Pat the potatoes dry with a paper towel to ensure they crisp up.
  • Heat vegetable oil in a large frying pan over medium-high heat.
  • Carefully add the potatoes to the hot oil in a single layer.
  • Fry for about 5-7 minutes until golden brown on one side.
  • Flip the potatoes using a spatula to cook the other side.
  • Continue frying until both sides are crispy and golden.
  • Remove the potatoes from the oil and place them on paper towels to drain excess oil.
