Cream together the butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy.

Sift together the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and nutmeg; gradually add to the butter mixture.
Fold in the mixed fruits and nuts until evenly distributed.
Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top.
Bake for 75 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
