Ingredients

  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Optional toppings: nuts sea salt, or sprinkles

Instructions

  • Prepare an 8x8 inch baking pan by lining it with parchment paper.
  • In a medium saucepan, combine sugar, heavy cream, and butter over medium heat.
  • Stir the mixture continuously until the sugar dissolves and it reaches a gentle boil.
  • Once boiling, stop stirring and let it cook without stirring for about 5 minutes.
  • Remove the saucepan from heat and add chocolate chips, vanilla extract, and salt.
  • Stir until the chocolate is completely melted and the mixture is smooth.
  • Pour the fudge mixture into the prepared baking pan.
  • Spread it evenly and smooth the top with a spatula.
  • Let it cool at room temperature for about 2 hours or until set.
  • Once firm, cut the fudge into squares and enjoy!
