Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 200 g ground pork
  • 1 cup finely chopped cabbage
  • 1/4 cup minced green onions
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger grated
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  • In a bowl, combine flour and water to form a dough.
  • Knead the dough for about 5 minutes until smooth.
  • Cover the dough with a damp cloth and let it rest for 30 minutes.
  • In another bowl, mix ground meat, cabbage, green onions, soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, salt, and pepper.
  • Roll the dough into small balls and flatten them into circles.
  • Place a spoonful of filling in the center of each circle.
  • Fold the dough over the filling and pinch the edges to seal.
  • Heat oil in a non-stick pan over medium heat.
  • Arrange the gyoza in the pan and fry until golden brown (about 3-4 minutes).
  • Add water to the pan and cover to steam for 5 minutes.
  • Remove the lid and cook until water evaporates and gyoza are crispy.
