In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, egg, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.
Mix until well combined, then shape into four patties.
Heat a skillet over medium heat and add a little oil.
Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side until browned and cooked through.
Remove patties from the skillet and set aside.
In the same skillet, add beef broth and bring to a simmer.
Mix cornstarch with a bit of water and add to the broth to thicken if desired.
Return the patties to the skillet and simmer in the gravy for about 5 minutes.
Garnish with fresh herbs before serving.
Serve with mashed potatoes and steamed vegetables.
