Ingredients

  • 12 Hawaiian rolls
  • 1 lb deli meat ham, turkey, or roast beef
  • 8 slices of cheese Swiss or cheddar
  • 1 cup lettuce shredded
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup mustard
  • 1/4 cup butter melted
  • 2 tablespoons poppy seeds
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: sliced pickles and tomatoes

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Slice the Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally without separating them.
  • Spread mayonnaise and mustard on the inside of the rolls.
  • Layer the deli meat evenly over the bottom half of the rolls.
  • Add cheese slices on top of the meat.
  • Sprinkle shredded lettuce over the cheese.
  • Place the top half of the rolls back on.
  • Brush the melted butter over the top of the rolls.
  • Sprinkle poppy seeds, salt, and pepper on top.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes, until the cheese is melted and the rolls are golden brown.
