Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet 2 ¼ tsp active dry yeast
  • ¾ cup warm water
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • ½ cup pizza sauce
  • 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Your choice of toppings pepperoni, bell peppers, olives, etc.

Instructions

  • In a bowl, combine warm water, yeast, and sugar; let sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
  • Add flour, salt, and olive oil to the yeast mixture; stir until a dough forms.
  • Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth.
  • Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for 1 hour in a warm place.
  • Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C).
  • Once risen, punch down the dough and roll it out to your desired thickness.
  • Transfer rolled dough to a pizza stone or baking sheet.
  • Spread pizza sauce evenly over the dough.
  • Sprinkle mozzarella cheese on top of the sauce.
  • Add your choice of toppings, then bake for 12-15 minutes until the crust is golden and cheese is bubbly.
