Ingredients

  • 12 oz. linguine or spaghetti
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 lemons juiced and zested
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  • Boil a large pot of salted water and cook the pasta according to package instructions.
  • In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
  • Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  • Pour in the lemon juice and bring to a gentle simmer.
  • Add the cooked pasta directly to the skillet, reserving some pasta water.
  • Stir in the lemon zest and heavy cream, mixing well to combine.
  • If the sauce is too thick, add reserved pasta water until desired consistency is reached.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste, and stir in grated Parmesan cheese.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
