Crush the Oreo cookies into fine crumbs, reserving some for topping.
In a mixing bowl, combine melted butter with the crushed Oreos.
Press the Oreo mixture into the bottom of a springform pan to create the crust.
In another bowl, mix softened cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth.
Fold in the whipped cream and vanilla extract into the cream cheese mixture.
Layer half of the cream mixture over the Oreo crust.
Add another layer of crushed Oreos on top of the cream mixture.
Pour the remaining cream mixture over the second layer of Oreos.
Smooth the top and sprinkle with reserved Oreo crumbs.
Refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving for best results.
