Ingredients

  • 300 g pasta penne or fusilli
  • 1 can 400g diced tomatoes
  • 2 cups shredded cheese mozzarella and cheddar
  • 1 cup cooked ground meat beef or chicken
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil for garnish

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
  • Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente.
  • In a large skillet, sauté the chopped onion and minced garlic until translucent.
  • Add the cooked ground meat and stir until heated through.
  • Pour in the diced tomatoes and add Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  • Simmer the sauce for about 5 minutes.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked pasta with the sauce.
  • Transfer the mixture into a greased baking dish.
  • Top with shredded cheese, spreading it evenly over the pasta.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
