Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 1 green bell pepper diced
  • 1 jar 24 oz pizza sauce
  • 3 cups cooked pasta penne or rotini
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup sliced black olives
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil for garnish

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat until fully cooked.
  • Add chopped onion and green bell pepper to the skillet, sautéing until softened.
  • Drain excess grease and stir in pizza sauce, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  • In a large bowl, combine the cooked pasta with the meat sauce mixture.
  • Layer half of the pasta mixture in a greased 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • Sprinkle half of the mozzarella cheese over the pasta layer.
  • Add the remaining pasta mixture on top and finish with the rest of the cheese.
  • Top with sliced black olives.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
