Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 packet 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 3/4 cup warm water about 110°F
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  • In a small bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine flour and salt.
  • Make a well in the center of the flour mixture.
  • Add the yeast mixture and olive oil into the well.
  • Stir until a dough forms.
  • Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes.
  • Place the dough in a lightly greased bowl, cover with a cloth, and let it rise in a warm area for 1 hour.
  • After rising, punch down the dough to release air bubbles.
  • Roll out the dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness.
  • Transfer to a pizza stone or baking sheet, add your favorite toppings, and bake at 475°F for 12-15 minutes.
