Ingredients

  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chocolate ganache

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • In a saucepan, combine water and butter over medium heat until boiling.
  • Remove from heat and stir in flour and salt until the mixture forms a dough.
  • Allow the dough to cool for a few minutes.
  • Beat in eggs, one at a time, mixing until smooth after each addition.
  • Transfer the dough to a piping bag.
  • Pipe small mounds onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden and puffed.
  • Let the profiteroles cool completely.
  • Whip the cream with powdered sugar and vanilla until stiff peaks form.
  • Fill each profiterole with whipped cream and drizzle with chocolate ganache before serving.
