Ingredients

  • 1 can 15 oz chickpeas, drained and rinsed
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • Optional: cayenne pepper for heat

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Drain and rinse the chickpeas under cold water.
  • Pat the chickpeas dry with a clean towel.
  • In a bowl, toss the chickpeas with olive oil, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
  • Spread the chickpeas on a baking sheet in a single layer.
  • Bake for 30-40 minutes, stirring occasionally, until golden and crispy.
  • Check for doneness; they should be crunchy.
  • Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes.
  • Add additional seasonings if desired.
  • Serve immediately or store for later use.
