Ingredients

  • 4 ripe tomatoes diced
  • 1 small red onion finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro chopped
  • 1 jalapeño seeded and minced
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 avocado sliced (optional)

Instructions

  • Wash and dice the tomatoes into small pieces.
  • Finely chop the red onion and add to the bowl.
  • Chop the fresh cilantro and add it to the mix.
  • Seed and mince the jalapeño, adjusting the amount for desired heat.
  • In a large bowl, combine all the chopped ingredients.
  • Add lime juice and season with salt to taste.
  • Mix everything well until combined.
  • Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.
  • Let the salsa sit for 10 minutes before serving.
  • Serve with tortilla chips or as a topping on your favorite dishes.
