Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together flour and baking soda; set aside.
  • In a large bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and salt until light and fluffy.
  • Add in vanilla extract and eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  • Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.

  • Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are lightly golden.
  • Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
