In a large bowl, combine the bread flour and water. Mix until a shaggy dough forms.
Add the active sourdough starter and mix until incorporated.
Let the dough rest for 30 minutes (autolyse).
Add salt and sugar, then knead until smooth and elastic.
Place the dough in a greased bowl and cover it.
Allow it to rise at room temperature for 3-4 hours, folding every hour.
Shape the dough into a loaf and place it in a greased loaf pan.
Cover and let it rise for another 1-2 hours until doubled in size.
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown and hollow sounding.
