Ingredients

  • 500 g bread flour
  • 300 ml water
  • 100 g sourdough starter
  • 10 g salt
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, mix the bread flour and sugar.
  • In another bowl, combine the sourdough starter and water.
  • Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients.
  • Mix until a dough forms, then add salt and olive oil.
  • Knead the dough for about 10 minutes until smooth.
  • Place the dough in a greased bowl and cover with a damp cloth.
  • Allow it to rise for 4-6 hours or until doubled in size.
  • Punch down the dough and shape it into a loaf.
  • Place the dough in a greased loaf pan and cover again.
  • Let it rise for another 1-2 hours before baking at 220°C (425°F) for 30-35 minutes.
