Ingredients

  • 1 kg chicken cut into pieces
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons tandoori masala
  • 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon red chili powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh coriander for garnish
  • Slices of lemon for serving

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, combine yogurt, tandoori masala, ginger-garlic paste, lemon juice, turmeric, chili powder, and salt.
  • Add chicken pieces to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated.
  • Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight.
  • Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F).
  • Line a baking tray with foil for easy cleanup.
  • Place the marinated chicken on the tray, spacing them apart.
  • Bake the chicken for 30-35 minutes, turning halfway through for even cooking.
  • Optional: Broil for an additional 5-10 minutes for a charred finish.
  • Once cooked, let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving.
  • Garnish with fresh coriander and lemon slices before serving.
