Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 can 10.5 oz cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 bag 32 oz frozen tater tots
  • 1 small onion chopped
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup frozen mixed vegetables optional
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  • Add chopped onion and sauté until translucent.
  • Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks.
  • Drain excess fat and stir in cream of mushroom soup.
  • Season with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  • If using, stir in frozen mixed vegetables.
  • Pour the beef mixture into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.
  • Layer frozen tater tots evenly on top of the beef mixture.
  • Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the tater tots.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes or until tater tots are golden brown.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
